After Rihanna’s launch of the Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in Drama Cla$$, we’re seeing more and more beauty brands hop on the purple blush bandwagon. These blushes work magic, especially on people with deeper complexions, making them an absolute must-try!

Douyin blush is a Chinese makeup trend that was introduced to the western side of TikTok around last year. The trend focuses on giving your face a sweet, doll-like appearance with tactical blush placement that doesn't just focus on your cheekbones but includes your nose, chin, temples and sometimes even your forehead! Overall the goal is to look dewy and flushed, like you’ve been out in the sun all day but without the UV rays!

This trend has seen a small comeback throughout this year but we predict that the sweetness of this trend will merge with the upcoming coquette aesthetic to create a fusion between western and eastern makeup routines.
The coquette aesthetic has gotten a lot of attention from the TikTok community as it is a hyper-feminine way of dressing. For those of us who were OBSESSED with Lana Del Rey’s Born to Die, this ones for us! If that album was a makeup trend, this would be it.
